US Architects had the unique opportunity to work with Munciana Volleyball, the Muncie YMCA and the Town of Yorktown to develop a facility that is conducive to all.  This new facility features a 27’ tall ceiling over six volleyball courts.  The central lobby space offers a café and concessions area, a lounge space with fireplace and plasma television, and an ASICS pro-shop with a variety of sports apparel.  We also created a friendly VIP Lounge and team room for game planning.

 

Adjacent to the main entry is the fitness facility operated by the Muncie YMCA.  This 10,000 square foot space features a child watch area for patron convenience, a youth area and an exercise class area.  The central feature is the 6,000 square foot Wellness Center.  This area includes cardio space, strength training and free weights. The Wellness Center also includes a 6’ wide walking track along its perimeter.
